Description
Acts as Facilities Senior Technician, reporting to the Facilities Department Head, and performs the required tasks of the job. Assists as necessary and acts as the primary contact for facilities related issues with members of management.
Work is performed under general supervision but according to specific and detailed operating procedures. Operates a work van following all the State of Florida driving rules and regulations and must have a valid unexpired Florida Driver License.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
HVAC Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
· Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues promptly to minimize downtime.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
· Other duties may be assigned.
General Maintenance:
· Maintain and support all facilities operated by Addition Financial under the direction of the Facilities Leadership.
· Recommends preventive maintenance suggestions to the Facilities Leadership.
· Handles plumbing repairs including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining fixtures.
· Conduct electrical repairs such as light lighting work, or replacing faulty outlets.
· Perform painting, drywall repair, and other maintenance tasks as required.
· Must own some basic tools. Must be in physical condition necessary to fulfill all responsibilities and physical demands as outlined in this job description.
Technical Skills:
· Possess HVAC certification level 2 and a minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience.
· Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems (EMS).
· Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
· Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Requirements
General Requirements
· Compiles and produces facilities reports for leadership as required.
· Will maintain a clean driving record for credit union insurance purposes.
· Must be able to work 8a-5p, Monday thru Friday, and some overtime on Saturdays, if required.
· Must be organized and have effective problem-solving skills with an ability to coordinate and monitor multiple facilities projects.
· Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
· Must be able understand and follow oral and written directions.
· Must have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment with a wide variety of internal and external contacts.
· Use modern office procedures, methods and equipment in day-to-day operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Good working knowledge of a credit union and its functions
· Consistently meets all deadlines.
· Ability to collaborate with multiple executives while maintaining confidentiality of records and information.
· Demonstrated record as a self-starter, organized, dependable, and professional.
· High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a facilities-related position with HVAC responsibilities, demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a high level of accuracy.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Basic mathematical abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
· Competence in using tools and equipment safely to prevent injury.
· Familiarity with computer word processors, laser printers, photocopiers, and fax machines.
· Active participation in day-to-day communication with staff and other credit union system stakeholders.
· Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 75 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· Position may require a pre-employment physical examination.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet but may be loud when operating tools. There is extensive driving to facilities with an average of 300 miles driven per week.
