Job Description
In this role you will lead project-based consulting with various customers to design, implement, and support mid to large enterprise network infrastructures.
In this role, you will:
- Assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and document client networks and related systems.
- Develop both high-level and detailed implementation and test plans for technologies related to enterprise networks.
- Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to clients.
- Lead a technical team and present to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required background for our Network Engineer
- Open to a full-time direct hire role. Some federal government clients require US Citizenship to access their locations, so citizenship is a must.
- This is a full-time direct hire role and would require occasional travel to Baltimore Maryland to meet with the client, so you must be in an area easily commutable to Baltimore OR be willing to self-relocate.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCNP level expertise in Enterprise Infrastructure (formerly Route/Switch), Security, Data Center or Service Provider.
- Four or more years of experience in the design of large enterprise networks
- Good understanding and practical experience with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSFP, and BGP).
- Good understanding and practical experience with switching technologies (Spanning tree, EtherChannel, Port Security, 802.1X, MAB).
- Comfortable with Data Center virtualization technologies such as VXLAN and Nexus Data Center Fabric Controller (NDFC).
- Familiarity with Virtual Private Network (VPN) and firewall technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Check Point, etc).
- Must be able to work with end-users, communicate clearly and meet deadlines.
