The Work You Will Do:
This Senior Clerk position performs work under the direction of the Environmental Administrator for the Division of Waste Management, Waste Registration & Recycling Program located in Tallahassee, Florida. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can perform multiple duties within the State of Florida Waste Registration and Recycling Program. It requires independent decision-making responsibility for the registration activities in the Waste Registration Section, including source-separated organics processing facilities, pollutant and hazardous substance tank facilities, waste tire facilities, and dry-cleaning wholesale and retail facilities. It requires a high degree of accuracy of decision-making and recording data into database management systems.
The Difference You Will Make:
The Senior Clerk implements and maintains systems for registrations and authorizations for multiple regulatory programs, including evaluating registration applications, fee collection, compilation of annual reports, and maintenance of database. The position prepares reports on registrations and notifications. Ensures that data provided to the agency's information systems meets standards for completeness and accuracy. Assist with online business portal development and maintenance for the waste registration programs. Provides direct customer support for portal applications and paper documents. Maintains process flow control through the Program’s document workflow management system. Manages document flow through the document management system (Oculus) by verifying prompt and proper indexing of incoming paper documents into their prospective workflows.
The Senior Clerk is also responsible for handling payments received within Division of Waste Management and complete all required procedures set forth in accordance with department policy and goals; including the cash receiving application process.
