What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Financial Reporting: Support in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP. Ensure accurate and timely month-end close process, including reconciliations of balance sheets and profit & loss accounts
- Group Reporting/Intra-group Accounting: Ensure compliance with our intra-group regulations and reporting requirements for all intra-group transactions. Support a smooth submission and reporting of financial statements for consolidation with VW Group Accounting monthly.
- General Ledger Management: Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards. Support the finance team with technical queries and ensure the correct application of accounting principles.
- Fixed Asset Management: Ensure accurate management of capitalized assets and assets under construction (IAS 16, IAS 38) including their acquisition, revaluation, tracking and disposal.
- Financial Analysis: Provide detailed analysis and insights on financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Interpret and apply technical accounting standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP). Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Audits: Support the preparation of audit schedules, including reconciliations and analyses of financial data.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within accounting operations to increase efficiency and accuracy. Contribute to the implementation of new accounting systems or upgrades.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of a Scout Motors location: Tysons, Virginia, or Columbia, South Carolina. This role may be based at the future Scout Motors corporate location (to be determined) in early 2025. The final location will be further discussed and aligned with the successful candidate.
- The responsibilities of this role require onsite attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company.
- Travel: May require regular travel to Tysons, Virginia if not local to this location.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
