This is a hybrid role based in our Los Angeles (West Hollywood) office and will require you to be in office Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What’s so interesting about this role?
As the Consumer and Brand PR & Social Manager at Grindr, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining our brand's public image, engaging with our community, and driving awareness of our platform. You will be responsible for developing and executing PR and social media strategies and content that resonate with our target audience and align with our brand's values. This role will require a keen understanding of the intersection between PR and social media, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions to achieve common goals.
What’s the job?
- PR and Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive PR and social media strategies to enhance Grindr's brand presence and positive engagement.
- Community Engagement: Understand and connect with the Grindr community, while representing the brand.
- Project Management: Oversee PR and social media campaigns from conception to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams within Grindr, including marketing, product, and customer support, to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging and relevant content for PR materials, social media posts, and other communication channels.
- Copywriting: Craft compelling and accurate copy for press releases, blog posts, social media posts, and other promotional materials.
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, bloggers, and influencers to secure media coverage and partnerships.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor PR and social media metrics, analyze performance data, and provide regular reports to management.
- Build and maintain relationships with platform partners
What we'll love about you
- 5-9 years of experience in Public Relations and Social Media Strategy
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant or related field
- Experience in entertainment, tech, or dating industries is desirable
- Strong understanding of the intersection between PR and social media
- Familiarity with the wider marketing mix to enable effective cross-functional collaboration
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency
- Excellent copywriting skills and proficiency in crafting engaging content
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to see a project through from concept to completion
- Passion for and understanding of Grindr and the LGBTQ+ community it serves is a must
- A voracious appetite for pop culture and a strong sense of what’s happening
