This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Job Description

This is a contingent requistion to support the proposal requirements.   

 

HII is seeking a Calibration Technician for a USG customer in the Northern Virginia area.  

 

*This role is contingent upon being awarded the contract.  

Essential Job Responsibilities

Direct, coordinate, and manage calibration and testing of various equipment and tools in a quick reaction environment.  Collaborate with subject matter experts and vendors to ensure calibration and availability of equipment while maintaining traceability and quality control.  Serve as the focal point of contact for customer and contractor staff in addition to a wide range of vendors to manage calibration processes.  

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph 
  • Experience with coordinating calibration activities with internal government groups and outside vendors 
  • History of performing equipment testing and validation 
  • Experience coordinating testing equipment training 
  • Demonstrated experience of interfacing with a wide range of vendors 

Preferred Requirements

  • Technical background in engineering or manufacturing 
  • Experience working with hardware-oriented vendors of electronic and mechanical components, manufacturing and assembly shops, and other equipment 
  • Creativity to address non-standard problem sets 
  • Ability to operate independently and at a fast-pace

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
