Job Description

The Senior Business Analyst will be part of the Film & TV Studios Technical Operations reporting into the Film Technology Engagement team. The role will be responsible for engaging with various stakeholders across Film Creative Operations, Film Digital Marketing, and International Marketing HQ. The Sr. Business Analyst will be a key liaison with these business groups and will help bridge the gap between the business stakeholders, product, and engineering functions.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for planning, tracking, coordinating, and communicating on projects involving the Technology and business teams, as well as the operational support for applications within the portfolio. In addition, this role will work closely with other teams as needed across our broader Tech Ops organization to ensure the successful delivery on initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the business operational teams, translate business needs into technical requirements and liaise with internal teams such as Product and Engineering as well external third-party providers, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Lead Film Data Privacy & Security initiatives and be the liaison between the Film Data Strategy, Technology and Data Privacy teams to support business related to data privacy & compliance initiatives.  This includes communication of new governance and compliance processes, creating workflows and analysis to support these initiatives.
  • Manage the prioritization and execution of application enhancements and projects
  • Prepare project documentation such as meeting minutes, business process documentation, workflow diagrams, etc…
  • Manage implementations including user acceptance testing, user training and demonstrations
  • Serve as the escalation point for business operations teams and appropriately manage issues through resolution (application/systems support, reporting requests, etc…)
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Marketing Production file-based workflows
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and/or business analysis
  • 5+ years of experience developing software solutions to address business needs, applying software disciplines, with a strong understanding of software development
  • 5+ years of experience in application production support, change management processes and have a structured approach to troubleshooting issues and bug fixes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to utilize technology to create innovative solutions
  • Good understanding of system architecture, infrastructure, integration, software development processes, and security technologies (processes\concepts)
  • Strong ability to perform analysis of small to medium complex business, workflow, and technology issues to support decision-making

·         Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience of working in Marketing Production environments with knowledge of industry tools
  • Experience of working with Digital Marketing teams with emphasis on domain management
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience with business intelligence and analytic tools
  • Proven ability to identify and remove project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
  • Experience managing and supporting CMS
  • Prior Project Management experience is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively with remote teams across varying time zones
