About the role

JOB SUMMARY

 

We are seeking an Test technician I who is responsible for testing electrical systems and equipment to detect faulty wiring and ensure they comply with electrical codes and standards. He performs testing and makes recommendations for improvement.

This role will be based in our Taino or Bologna office reporting to Production Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Testing of the electrical boards produced and file the relative documentation.
  • Assembly the electrical boards in accordance with the relevant operating instructions
  • Examining and testing electrical systems and equipment.
  • Inspecting and testing new and existing system and security systems and wiring.
  • Inspecting the installation of the electrical wiring for Company systems.
  • Keeping records and write reports.
  • Controlling of non-compliant installations.
  • Examining and inspecting wire harnesses, control panels, coaxial cables, and electrical jig boards, for completeness of assembly, quality, and conformance to blueprints.
  • Inspect wiring of assemblies for accuracy of soldering and for defects.
  • Repairing and replacing faulty components as necessary or record failure reason and compiling inspection reports
  • Examine and test parts and assemblies.
  • Assembling company products and accessories, based on the relative operating instructions and wiring diagrams.
  • execution of tests on incoming products, semi-finished products and goods.
  • execution of Hardware/Software integration tests and drafting of operating instructions
  • checking of the material sets prepared for shipments.
  • keep the spaces and work tools assigned to them tidy and in an efficient condition.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION:

  • Technical, electrical/electronic high school diploma

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • at least 2 years' experience in similar roles/sectors
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • ability to read electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings;
  • Ability to follow Test Procedures and instructions
  • Proficient use of soldering and de-soldering equipment, electronic meters and any other equipment required during the testing of products
  • use of small soldering irons for electrical/electronic components;
  • Good knowledge of the PC, with the Windows operating system and applications typical of the Office suite, in particular Excel;
  • Basic understanding of the English language;
  • Precision, order in managing one's spaces, ability to organize oneself autonomously when the objective of the work is clear;
  • Spirit of initiative, proactive attitude for the improvement of the processes in which he is involved;
  • Waste management
  • Basic of ISO9000

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use fax machines, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers and customers.
