We are looking for an experienced professional to help us keep up with our expanding project portfolio. Your role will focus on designing and building sustainable, AI-powered solutions that drive impact.

AI and machine learning have already transformed competition in industrial production, supply chains, and knowledge management. At Pinja, we've been using AI, machine learning, and deep learning across different projects and industries for a long time. Your daily work involves hands-on solution development, including coding and creating data products, alongside conducting capability and technology assessments. You will collaborate closely with the business side to create technical specifications and find smart technical solutions to real-world business problems.

Your responsibilities in short:

• Solution development and coding of data products

What is required to succeed in the task?

We are looking for a professional with experience in data sciences and developing real-world machine learning solutions, combined with a solid understanding of software development methods. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to solution planning, strong coding skills and the ability to turn business needs into working AI products.

What skills we expect from you:

• Proven experience in building machine learning models deployed to a production environment.

• Strong programming skills, especially in Python and SQL.

• Experience working with data science libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Scikit-Learn.

• Proficiency with version control (e.g., GIT)

• Experience in working with time-series data and forecasting.

• Familiarity with statistical mathematics, data analysis, and processing.

• Ability to conduct technical specification with business and knowledge sharing.

In addition, these are beneficial:

• Familiarity with neural networks.

• Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and ML workflow tools (e.g., MLFlow).

• Experience with DevOps processes

• Experience with time-series databases such as Influxdb or TimescaleDB.

• Knowledge of Linux and cloud environments like Kubernetes or Azure.

As most of our customers are based in Finland, Finnish language skills are helpful for smooth collaboration and everyday communication.
