We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our team. The goal of the Software Quality Engineer at Wisk is to assure the process for developing, controlling, and verifying software products is planned and complied with, and effectively improving the quality of our software products – whether developed by Wisk or provided by suppliers. You will be part of the Enterprise Quality team that is committed to creating, implementing and developing a culture of continuous improvement.

Why we need you:
- The goal of the Software Quality Engineer at Wisk is to work closely with various functional and product teams, ensuring the development of high-quality, safety-critical, well-tested software to build the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment. In support of this goal, you will be part of the Enterprise Quality team that leads and partners with organizations on developing our Quality Management Systems (QMS), internal audit programs and establishes our quality assurance processes. Your mission is to continuously improve our culture of quality, compliance and safety.
- The successful candidate is effective at communication at different levels of the organization to provide support and oversight of multiple disciplinaries. In this role, the candidate must be proactive, forward thinking and self-motivated with the ability to inspire and influence a team of like-minded engineers.
What you will do:
- As part of the Enterprise Quality organization, and deployed in an Compliance Team you will act as a Software Quality Engineer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market.
- You will take part in project activities, from proposal and planning through software delivery.
- You will support supplier oversight and evaluation throughout the supplier’s Software Development Lifecycle.
- You will help support problem solving activities and analysis of project software quality metrics to improve software quality and manage risk.
- You will plan and execute software quality audits and assessments; support Root Cause Analysis (RCA’s) and improvement initiatives.
- As a Software Quality Engineer, you will help define the Software Quality Assurance Plan for new projects.
What you have done:
- B.S. in engineering, electrical, computer science, mathematics or physics with at least 8 years of software quality engineering experience supporting software with AS9115, DO-178, and/or MIL-STD-882E requirements
- You have performed software quality audits and assessments
- You have hands-on experience with Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
- You have a strong and applied understanding working with Quality Management Systems
Desired:
- Familiarity with aerospace software standards, terminology and tools.
- You have knowledge of Process Assurance for System Engineering (ARP-4754A) and Hardware Engineering (DO-254)
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (AS9100)
- Involvement with products developed using Agile software development practices
