The Senior IT Business Analyst serves as a business representative for a project or set of projects to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and business value is realized through the delivery of technology solutions. This role will work with the Project Manager to support risk management activities related to project scope. This role brings a data- driven approach to decisions regarding implementation approach. This role helps define value objectives and ensures it is aligned with key collaborators across the organization. The individual will need to understand and identify business problems that need to be solved and document the current state drivers of those problems. The individual will need to map process flows, capture data requirements, create user stories, and document findings in a format understandable to all stakeholders.
The Senior IT Business Analyst is expected to lead with curiosity to understand current state, work objectively to develop clear solution requirements through influence, facilitation, and communication, map process flows, capture data requirements, create user stories, and document findings in a format understandable to both stakeholders and technology teams. The individual must be able to adapt their messaging to the audience and bridge the communication gap between stakeholder groups and will need to facilitate among stakeholders to drive consensus toward a solution. It is critical this individual establishes a close relationship with our business partners, and IT teams consisting of trust, transparency, and collaboration to ensure all parties are aligned. The individual for this role will take a delegate approach in fostering change management between our IT and business partners.
Note** This is NOT a remote role, it is hybrid, requesting 4 days in office

Essential Functions:
• Captures business processes, requirements, and capabilities, features, and data requirements for new and existing software product solutions
• Gathers data, creates process flow diagrams/ process maps, captures design interfaces, identifies root cause to issues, provides solid solutions, analyzes inputs and outputs to arrive at logical conclusions
• Translates business requirements into user stories for technical teams, ensures test cases are written to meet the business needs
• Creates readable and functional documentation which may include JAD, screen designs, report layouts, features, stories, use cases, and data models mapping inputs, outputs, interfaces, etc.
• Recommends method and procedural changes; Defines and documents improvements
• Synthesizes information gathered from multiple sources, assisting in the identification of symptoms and root causes; Works with project leadership to develop alternative solutions and address the organizational pain within resource and schedule constraints
• Collaborates with our business partners regularly with face to face encounters to gather requirements and understand the business ask; also conducts sessions to: discuss requirements, demo completed work, and solicit and embraces feedback from others
• Facilitates, influences, and leads team-member peers in designing and defining solutions which may include the ideation, discovery, initiation, and business requirements phases of a project
• Fosters change management in a delegate manner to ensure business and IT partners are comforted through transformation and project delivery
• Partners with the project manager throughout the entire project life cycle to ensure clear objectives are defined and documented, the definition of done is clear, the execution of deliverables meet requirements and business need, and user stories are closed out appropriately based on defined and documented requirements
• Leverages data-driven problem-solving techniques and analytical rigor to complete, document, and speaks to risk analysis, and offers solutions to help affected stake holder
