Pratt & Whitney's Mechanical Systems & Externals Engineering department is looking for a Senior Product Definition Design Engineer to join their team. This role involves working on military engine programs, offering design assistance, guiding model-based definitions, checking team members' work, and providing mentorship.

What You Will Do:

• Lead tasks, assign work; drive deliverables to meet schedule; and provide mentorship.
• Work with project leads on schedule/status.
• Design and review assembly drawings based on layouts, sketches, and blueprints; Perform general design tasks, including modeling for analysis and manufacturing of hardware as well as coordinating integration with customers for interfaces; Perform and/or oversee all aspects of PD engineering standard work throughout Preliminary Design, Detail Design, and Verification/Validation.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to Product Definition Standard Processes of Design Intent through Senior Design Drafting duties.
• Travel up 5%.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Management) and 5 years of relevant experience; or An Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience; or an Associate Degree in Computer Drafting and Design or similar degree with 12 years of relevant experience.  Relevant experience: combined experience in design or product definition.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience leading a team/ team leading/team building.
• Demonstrated commitment to a quality and continuous improvement culture.
• 3D Solid Modeling experience.
• Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing or Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing professional certification, GDTP Y14.5.
• General knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
