Project Overview:

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S. Our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery this year. The candidate will act as the Deputy Area Field Superintendent on the SCGT Portion of the Project in Pecos, Texas. The candidate will locate on a long-term (Camp)assignment to the project in Pecos, TX. This position is contingent upon project award.

Job Summary:

The Deputy Area Field Superintendent is responsible for supervising and directing craft operations within assigned disciplines or areas. They will supervise and direct Craft activities, subordinate superintendents and others, as assigned. They will ensure assigned construction operations and subcontractors performance is in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budget. They will perform general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions

 

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership / Supervision (Discipline Supervision of superintendents supporting 50 to 100 craft or Responsible for Area/Facility) 

• Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned. (Direct Hire) 
• Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. (Direct Hire) 

Planning / Productivity 

• Determines workforce requirements.  
• Coordinates established area operational plans.  

Tools, Materials & Equipment 

• Oversees tool and equipment usage on the site.   
• Manages the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive.  

Safety & Quality 

• Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.  
• Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.   

Technical 

• Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
