PRN Athletic Trainer - Outreach

Summary/Objective 

The PRN Outreach Athletic Trainer position provides medical coverage and athletic training services to organizations partnered with Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. Our Athletic Trainers are on the sidelines to evaluate, triage, and treat athletic injuries.

Essential functions 

• Provide athletic training coverage for athletic events in and around central Indiana 

• Care for athletic injuries through taping and bracing, physical rehabilitation, first aid, triage, and referrals to Forte’s orthopedic specialists 

• Conduct an initial assessment of an injury or illness to provide emergency care and to determine whether they should be referred to a physician for definitive diagnosis and treatment 

• Perform administrative tasks such as making phone calls, sending emails, and documenting injuries
