Job Description

The Dremel Social Media Marketing Internship provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of social media marketing while working in a supportive and dynamic learning environment. The successful candidate will work alongside our Social Media Manager in executing social media campaigns and creating engaging content across all of our social media channels.

As an intern, you will receive on-the-job training and support to help you develop your skills in social media marketing.  You will be involved in a range of strategic areas and responsibilities, including: 

• Growing our social media audience and increasing community engagement 

• Supporting larger Dremel communication campaigns including new product launches and initiatives 

• Supporting in growing our influencer program 

Key Responsibilities 

Social Media Marketing and Operations  

• Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. 

• Collaborate with our Social Media Manager to develop content calendars and maintain a consistent posting schedule. 

• Monitor and engage with our online community, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner. 

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings, contributing ideas and providing feedback on content and campaigns. 

• Assist in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key social media metrics to measure the success of our campaigns and identify areas for improvement. 

• Creating and curating content for social media which includes writing captions, designing graphics, editing videos, curating UGC and creating engaging visuals. 

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have: 

• Recent graduate within last 6 months and/or 3+ years of education in Marketing or Digital relevant field. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. 

• Ability to work in office and remotely: Hybrid position with at least 40% a week in office (Mount Prospect) 

• Comfort in digital analytics and metric skills required (Google Analytics Preferred) 

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail. 

• Ability to create visually appealing content using graphic design or video editing software. 

• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and meet deadlines. 

• Excellent organizational skills: able to create plans, manage multiple projects, work to deadlines with changing and competing priorities.
