Job Summary:
This role reports to the Supervisor, Logistics. The Logistics Coordinator's main responsibility is to provide operational, analytical and administrative support. Also, this role will participate in the selection of service providers, monitor all shipment requests, contact customs brokers forwarding agencies to coordinate, consolidate and optimize requirements.Job Description:
Provides constant communication of service/delivery issues to appropriate personnel and departments, both internal and external.
Liaises with logistics providers to process import/export and customs shipments.
Maintains detailed and completes records of all shipments, including supporting documentation.
Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks.
Partners and collaborates with other departments within Materials Management and LUMA, suppliers, and customers.
Executes the Emergency Response logistics activities, including being available to respond to emergency after-hours callouts.
Processes commercial invoices and Bill of Landings for SURI liftings.
Coordinates deliveries with suppliers to our warehouses.
Follows established Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Plans
Performs other duties as assigned.
Performs major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned

Additional Job Description:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
3 years of experience in IATA & IMO (International Air Transport Associate & International Maritime Organization).
1 year experience in Customs regulations and Imports.
Knowledge in the SURI platform of the Tax Authorities.
Fluently in Spanish and English with ability to read, write and speak.
Experience in database management, reporting and compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient organizational and time management skills
An understanding of all internal and contracted equipment and staffing capabilities, and the ability to use that knowledge to maximize and consolidate freight/mail shipments.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), data analysis.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
