Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience with entire software development lifecycle.
  
• Experience working on a platform team or with platform software to support multiple products.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  
• Geo-spatial experience.
  
• Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical audiences, spanning organizational levels.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for overall program, schedules, quality and progress across multiple teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Geo’s mission is to assist users as they navigate and explore the world, wherever they are. Geo uses data and infrastructure to deliver consumer-facing products and services for Google Maps, Local Search, and several other products within Google. The project portfolio is technically complex and requires a good understanding of both processing and evaluation of data across several interconnected systems.

As Program Manager, you will partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Geo Data Operations across the organization, as well as internal and external clients, to develop infrastructure pipelines, deliver high quality data products and developer tooling solutions at scale.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Drive complex cross-functional initiatives that enable new capabilities across our infrastructure pipelines.
  
• Shift between contributing to and steering ambiguous technical discussions and classic program management skills to effectively usher projects through the entire project lifecycle.
  
• Build relationships and communication channels with engineering, product, and client teams to enable the program’s success.
  
• Work with engineering teams to track their work and manage program/project schedules, identify, and mitigate risks.
  
• Report product development/program status to stakeholders and track cross-team dependencies.
