Senior Product Designer

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our growing team at Leland. This person will be our second full-time designer and will play a pivotal role in leading the design of comprehensive product areas. You will have the opportunity to work closely with every part of the business to ship great products, and make a real impact for our customers. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape Leland’s brand and content voice, build a high-performing team, and scale our media presence.

What you’ll be doing:

You will develop and implement user-centric design strategies that align with Leland’s business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of user experience principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver innovative and effective design solutions. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape Leland’s brand and content voice, build a high-performing team, and scale our media presence.

• Lead the design process for significant product areas from concept to implementation

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions

• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups

• Help develop & maintain Leland’s design system to ensure consistency

• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders

• Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring design quality
  

Your qualifications:

• 4–8 years of experience in digital product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in leading design projects from concept to launch

• Strong skills in visual design, layout, and hierarchy

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating design decisions and rationale clearly

• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma

• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and guide junior designers
