As part of our growth in Continental Europe we are launching our Marine offer in the Nordics. QBE has an extensive experience in this field and has supported international clients for decades.  To support this development, we are looking for a Senior Marine Claims Adjuster.

As a Senior Claims Adjuster (m/f) you are part of a highly motivated team of professionals, together we

develop tailor-made solutions for our clients. In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to

achieving our corporate goals and give our clients the confidence of being covered by a specialist partner.

The position will be based in Stockholm and you will report to the Nordic Claims manager.

Your new role :

• Contribute to the development of a European marine claims community, providing expertise and support to other branches in claims management.
• Handle national and international claims in the marine and cargo segment
• Investigate and resolve core and complex claims to provide excellent claims handling service with minimal leakage.
• Support the development of relationships with customers to enable the claims function to
• fully support the customer´s needs
• Be a consistent and trusted partner to our customers and a strong QBE representative on the market
• Communication with brokers, experts and lawyers
• Assessment and extrajudicial enforcement of recourse claims
• Maintain knowledge of the marine claims portfolio and provide information to others on
• Request to ensure the effective monitoring of claims to support underwriting and otherinternal stakeholders
• Support the implementation of systems, tools and processes to manage marine claims

About you:

• Successfully completed relevant marine courses through Insurance Sweden
• Relevant professional experience working as a marine and cargo loss adjuster or lawyersettling claims
• Strong record of being customer focused
• Business fluent in written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• You are able to work independently but also as part of a team
• You are willing to take on responsibility and always deliver timely
• You are not afraid to defend your opinion, but also have the stamina to convince yourself of better arguments
• You like to relate to people and are communicative and empathetic.
