Senior Software Engineer (USA/Remote)

The Team

Our Health Engineering Solutions (HES) team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success does not happen by accident. It takes the right people working together on the right solutions to make success. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will be a key driver to make this happen.

This role will include developing React software for one application and Angular and Node,.js Full Stack development on a major program for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The Senior Software Engineer will be an embedded member of a cross functional scrum team and will be primarily performing code enhancement and maintenance

The work effects the quality and cost of care for Medicare patients through the Quality Payment Program. You will be involved in a highly successful team that has a long track record of meeting deadlines and delivering quality.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties

• The position is remote however we work East Coast hours and meetings may start as early as 9:00 AM Eastern Time. Core hours also apply.
• Some light travel may be required for in-person Program Increment Planning events.
• Working in Angular development daily
• Working in React development daily
• Working in Node.js development daily
• Working with Rest APIs, and Unit testing
• Working with and in GitHub
• Interacting in JIRA and Confluence
• Must attend Scrum Ceremonies or other program related meetings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Computer Science or Information technology)
• 5 years of experience working in Software Development
• 2 years of experience development in Node, JS/TS
• 2 years of experience working in Front-End JavaScript library development (I.E. Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
• 1 year working with SQL
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
• Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years

Professional skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• "U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holders will be highly prioritized due to federal contract requirements"
• Working knowledge of Git
• Splunk experience

• Docker experience
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Codebuild, Jenkins, or GitHub actions

• Experience working on a project using the Scaled Agile Framework
• Experience working with software development teams, building modern software products
• Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
