We are now hiring for a Packaging Technician! A Packaging Technician at Medline ReNewal is responsible for sorting, identifying, labeling, and packaging medical devices in the Redmond, Oregon facility. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal’s standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety. The Packaging Technician is also responsible for the completion of all associated documentation for each device and verifying that it is correct.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Verify that all device bins received from the Primary Inspection team are properly identified

• Identify devices and ensure that all devices are identified correctly on paper documents and computer records

• Print labels and apply labels to individual packing pouches

• Apply proper tips, secure cords, and place tube protectors to prepare device components

• Package all devices; verify that each device is an exact match to what the label says it is

• Seal device into pouch using electric sealer

• Inspect all packages, seals, labels and ensure all devices have correct paper and computer documentation

• Place devices into bins and shelve in appropriate areas for the Sterilization team to retrieve

• Assist other departments as needed to ensure production output meets or exceeds goals

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to communicate in basic English with management and co-workers (Speak and basic reading ability required)

• Sit or stand for 10 hour shifts with appropriate meal and rest breaks

• Work in a room with washing machines, dryers, racks, tables, and limited room for movement

• Work in a room with continuous moderate to high level of noise

• Lift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 50 lbs up to 50 times per day

• Perform repetitive tasks, some of which are small motion tasks through the entire shift

• Focused and detail oriented to be able to identify product discrepancies or flaws and take appropriate action

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Any prior work experience in a manufacturing role is preferred

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$16.25 - $22.00 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
