Estimated annual base pay: $90,400 (minimum) - $113,000 (midpoint) - $135,600 (maximum)

The Senior Operations Engineer (level 3) reports to Technical Leadership whose focus is performing design and support of moderate to high complexity manufacturing systems and equipment, mentoring to other Engineers and supporting process improvements. This position works under a moderate to low level of supervision. Independent technical decisions on work are covered by precedents; this position seeks direction/guidance on novel or controversial problems. In addition, this position may involve project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals or organizations.
What you will be doing…
- Provide Advanced Technical Solutions: Leads teams through complex process improvements and troubleshooting efforts.
- Drive Innovation: Devises new approaches to challenges and implements advanced capital equipment purchases.
- Process Improvement & Lean Tools: Utilizes Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and DFMA concepts to enhance processes and support New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Leadership & Mentorship: Mentors junior team members (Level 1/2 Engineers, Manufacturing Specialists) and leads training initiatives to improve process understanding.
- Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Represents the company with customers (e.g., Boeing) and collaborates with Quality, Supplier Quality, Production, and NPI teams.
- Documentation & Change Management: Creates and updates process documentation, work instructions, and leads complex engineering changes as a change agent.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Applies advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC programming, machinery, and capital equipment procurement.
- Project Leadership: Leads process flow analysis, PFMEA, control plan reviews, and multi-site projects while promoting ergonomic and time studies.
- Controls & Automation: Supports plant-wide control systems, automation, and PLC-related issues, integrating advanced tools and fixtures into operations.
- Quality & Compliance: Adheres to quality system requirements, supports audits, and drives Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) for continuous improvement.
