We are looking for Principal Assistant – Business Management to join our company, in one of our projects located in Oeiras.

Tasks:
  • Take full responsibility for definition, approach, facilitation, and successful delivery of medium-scale projects with direct business impact and firm deadlines;
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks to project success;
  • Maintain realistic project plans and provide regular, accurate stakeholder communications;
  • Apply appropriate project management methods and tools, using either predictive (plan-driven) or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches as appropriate;
  • Ensure quality reviews occur on schedule and per procedure;
  • Manage change control, ensuring deliverables are completed within agreed cost, schedule, and resource budgets, and signed off;
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team; act when performance deviates from agreed tolerances;
  • Provide a monthly report to the Projects Portfolio Manager using the Agency reporting tool/framework;
  • Ensure projects are formally closed, reviewed where appropriate, and that lessons learned are recorded.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience (≥3 years) managing C4ISR acquisition and/or development projects for a large organisation;
  • Experience in planning, design, systems engineering, and implementation of military or other C4ISR systems;
  • Experience with Project Management tools, including managing cost and labour;
  • Recent experience (≥3 years) and knowledge delivering ICT projects for a large, preferably international, organisation;
  • Experience communicating with senior management and large groups (briefings, written/oral presentations);
  • Formal PM qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 or PMI PMP) (desirable);
  • Extensive experience with PM tools (desirable);
  • Agile PM experience/certification (AgilePM, Scrum) (desirable);
  • Service management experience/certification (ITIL v3/v4) (desirable);
  • Supplier management, negotiation, conflict resolution, contract management (desirable);
  • Prior work in an international environment with military + civilian elements (desirable).
