Overview

We are seeking a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer to support a high-profile program implementation. In this role, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying a state-of-the-art ground operational system.

• 📍 Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Remote eligible with Secret clearance; On-site for TS/SCI clearance)

• 💼 Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Engineering Systems

• 💲 Compensation: $146,000 – $162,000 base salary

• 🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs.

• Decompose end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases.

• Coordinate with developers, integration, and test teams to ensure component development aligns with mission needs.

• Apply systems engineering practices to ground systems, cloud-based architectures, and space-to-ground communication solutions.

• Support program execution through technical leadership, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field + 8 years of experience (or Master’s + 6 years).

• Secret or TS/SCI clearance eligibility (U.S. citizenship required).

• Experience in systems engineering, ground system design, or satellite communications.

Preferred Skills:

• Ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites/payloads.

• Tracking mission design knowledge (IR payload or mission data handling).

• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with tools such as CAMEO or MagicDraw.

• Familiarity with programming languages (Java, Python, MATLAB) for system analysis, prototyping, or modeling.

• Cloud technologies and microservice-based system design.

• Simulation and modeling experience (e.g., STK).

• Agile development experience.
