Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer at Via, you’ll be responsible for defining, establishing, and developing our testing strategies to champion quality throughout the development lifecycle.

What You'll Do:

• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and documentation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness; provide feedback on product quality and user experience 
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Product teams to define and implement tests, analyze test results, and utilize metrics to improve quality  
• Define and coordinate test strategies and plans across a wide range of testing scenarios and environments
• Implement automated tests utilizing in-house test tools and identify opportunities for streamlining repetitive testing tasks 
• Conduct functional, regression, and usability testing of web-based applications to ensure adherence to design specifications and user requirements
• Verify bug fixes and ensure that identified issues are resolved before software releases
• Partner with cross-functional teams to reproduce and isolate reported defects, providing clear and concise bug reports using appropriate bug tracking systems
• Establish and adhere to Quality Assurance standards and stay current on industry processes, trends, and techniques
• Troubleshoot issues encountered during testing and creatively problem solve to produce effective, quality solutions   

Who You Are:

• Minimum of 4 years QA engineer experience and QA methodologies
• Minimum of 3 years experience conducting integration, performance, load, and accessibility testing 
• Proven record of success with API and backend testing 
• Familiarity with testing in cloud environments (AWS)
• Creative problem solver, able to produce solutions for complex testing scenarios 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high-quality standards
• Detail oriented; meticulously documents and follows test plans and specifications
• Comfortable operating in a geographically distributed team 

Compensation and Benefits:

• Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
• Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 per year
