What You'll Do

In this role you assist in the café onsite at our Groveport distribution center. A serve safe certification is needed. You will help with register, food prep, cleaning, and inventory. This is a permanent part time role Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday 12:30pm-8:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities:
 

• Center on the customer by providing a pleasant experience

• Ability to operate cash register and manage cash flow
• Attend to the detail and presentation of each order
• Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Prep & Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients
• Complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients when necessary
• Maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items
• Stores leftovers according to health codes
• Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the team
• Serv Safe Certification is required
• Stocking & Inventory assistance
• Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, and stack cartons, while standing or walking for up to 12 hours at a time.​
• Associates may be required to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. (range may vary based on work assignment).​

• Ability to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, and overtime when needed.​

• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.​

• Ability to learn standard operating procedures acquired through on-the-job training, to include power industrial vehicle (PIV) where applicable.​

• Ability to independently login to a computer and operate digital tablets or registers.​

• Ability to independently complete a self-guided orientation on the computer or digital tablet.​

• For employee safety, it is necessary to have a basic level of English written and oral proficiency to communicate with Supervisors and understand safety signage and protocols. ​
