Location: Travel between Coral Gables and Medical Campus
Shift: 7:30am - 3:30pm
The University of Miami-UHealth System has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). The APRN is to work within their scope of practice under ANCC or AANP Board Certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The APRN will have a collaborating agreement and protocols with collaborating physician(s). The APRN is responsible for assessing physical and psychosocial status of clients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, diagnostic studies, and medical management. Assist physicians in performing medical procedures, up to and including blood drawing, vital signs and nursing assessments, history and physicals. Coordinate scheduling and referral processes within UM. Administrative duties to be conducted by the APRN are as follows but not limited. Assist with marketing activities as needed; example: leaving campus to participate in flu shot fairs, etc. Supports and enforces infection-control policies and procedures. Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors. Performs all other job related duties as assigned.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master’s degree in relevant field. Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification ANCC or AANP
Certification and Licensing:
Valid State of Florida APRN License. Maintain current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association
Experience:
Minimum 1 years of APRN experience
