We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Governance Team.

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Meet Our Team:

This role is part of the Enterprise Data Governance Org within PayPal. Our team supports the end-to-end data quality initiatives and leads the DQ charter for preventative /detective controls working with several cross-functional teams.

Our team handles the management of data quality issues and triages the issues with the appropriate stakeholder teams and support teams in their development of process improvements to enhance overall data quality.

Your Way to Impact:

You would be responsible for the management of data quality issues and triaging the issues with the appropriate stakeholder teams and support teams in their development of process improvements to enhance overall data quality.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Analyze, query, and profile data to define business rules in support of business process/domain objectives
• Determine business impact level for data quality issues
• Determine root cause for data quality errors and make recommendations for long-term solutions
• Create documentation and artifacts for data quality rules engine, alerting and monitoring
• Perform statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity
• Support teams in their development of process improvements to enhance overall data quality

What You Need to Bring:

• A successful candidate will bring 2+ years of experience within business technology, data analytics or science
• Proficiency with Python, SQL or R is required
• Experience building dashboards is required (tools like Looker, Tableau and/or Power BI preferred)
• Knowledge of or experience with cloud platforms is preferred
• Experience with Java a plus
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Excellent Communication Skills-Written and Verbal
• Team Player, Self-Starter, Detail-Oriented
• A Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred but not required.
