This is a part-time (20-25 hours/week), on-site internship starting January 7, 2025 and ending May 23, 2025
Position Summary:
The Tax Intern will provide support to the Tax Department as assigned by senior tax staff while adhering to the policies and procedures set by Dominium and maintain professional relationships with all Dominium staff and external Dominium business associates. Tasks include: Assist in the preparation and filling of tax documents, review state and federal compliance items, complete various projects, track invoices, and review and track annual renewals.
Essential Functions:
- Assisting in preparation and filing of tax returns and work papers
- Reviewing state and federal compliance items
- Completing various tax related projects and analysis
- Tracking invoices and submitting payments
- Reviewing and tracking Minnesota annual renewals
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be in the process of earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business-related field; or earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business-related field within the previous 12 months
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Average mathematical ability and above average reasoning skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to accept delegated assignments, work with moderate independence
- Ability to work with personnel at all levels of the company in a “team” environment to achieve optimal solutions to department challenges
- Great attention to detail
