Ingram Micro is a seeking two motivated and talented Supply Chain Interns to join us in June for our 10-week PAID Summer Internship Program! We are looking for ambitious college and university students who are ready to expand their skills and apply them to meaningful work with a global organization.
Location:
These internship positions are based in our Irvine, CA corporate headquarters with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule with a few days remote per week in addition to in-office hours.
Program details:
We have internships available across our various departments and locations throughout the U.S. Unless otherwise noted – all internships are on a hybrid format with a few days remote per week in addition to in-office days at the designated office listed in the job description, and are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Our program includes cohort activities such as learning & development trainings, executive speaker sessions, group projects, and other events.
Important dates:
- February – March: Applications Open (some postings may close early due to applicant volume)
- March – April: Recruiters and hiring managers will review applications and reach out to candidates on a rolling basis. Some internship positions will start interviews sooner than others, but candidates may expect to hear by the end of April if they are selected for an interview.
- May: All interviews to be completed and offers to be made
- June 3rd – August 9th: First cohort start & end date
- June 17th – August 23rd: Second cohort start & end date
Summary:
Ingram Micro is hiring two Supply Chain interns, one with a focus on Global Sourcing, and the other with a focus on Network Optimization.
Global Sourcing Intern role:
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, track spending patterns, and assess supplier performance.
- Support creation, review, and management of procurement contracts and agreements.
- Assist in the management of supplier relationships, including supplier selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation.
- Support activities including collecting & analyzing data for business insights, report generation, KPI progress tracking and management, presentation material preparation and executive read-outs.
Network Optimization Intern role:
- Lead/support key supply chain initiatives (E.g. footprint optimization, stocking strategy development, backorder, and inventory optimization) for specific markets/lines of business
- Develop analytical models to identify cost/service/working capital opportunities and collaborate with key stakeholders to action improvements.
- Support activities including collecting & analyzing data for business insights, report generation, KPI progress tracking and management, presentation material preparation and executive read-outs.
- Identify opportunities for business process automation. Assist in the integration of digital technologies to streamline processes, improve data and KPI accuracy, and enhance decision-making within the supply chain.
What you bring to the role:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program, or recently graduated (within the last semester or quarter) from an accredited college/university program.
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree (Master’s degree preferred) focused in Operations, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts, planning systems, and strategies
- Experience with Office 365 - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- Database skills - SQL, Dashboard development (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik etc)
- Superior data, problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical aptitude and curiosity to learn new tools and technologies
- Knowledge/Experience in Optimization tec
