Data Analyst - Finance

We're on the hunt for a data analyst who can tackle some of our most significant challenges in the realm of analytics for all things related to finance. Our finance team plays a pivotal role in Dandy's operations; being able to close the books monthly, have an accurate record of our revenue & costs, create a sound reconciliation process, able to drive strategic decisions through structured financial data instructure (P&L by product line, customer segment, LTV, etc).

Your responsibilities/opportunities

• Develop and share insights that drive the finance team and operational functions

• Support accounting team in all procedures that require data retrieval / extraction / process

• Help design the financial data infrastructure that will allow for ease of accurate reporting & reconciliation

• Instrument data pipelines & operational reporting

• Work on productionizing net new data sources & metrics

• Documentation & consolidation of various data sources

• Build dashboarding for management / executive decision making

About you:

• 3+ years of experience working in accounting, finance OR 1+ years working in finance analytics or data science

• BA/BS in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering or a BA/BS in behavioral science (economics, psychology, etc) with statistics skills

• Proficient SQL skills 

• Basic python skills

• Strong communication skills and experience communicating results

Bonus points:

• Have hands-on experience in finance industry

• Experience building scripts in python

• Interest in working and learning in an earlier stage company where we’re still working out the financial infrastructure & moving fast

• Strong customer empathy, particularly for dentists

• Experience in Looker, Hex, and DBT
