With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.</p> <p>This role can be based out of our Barcelona office or remotely in the Spain region.</p> <h3>The Role:</h3> <p>We are seeking an outstanding Senior Product Manager to own and drive the vision, strategy, and execution for data protection, backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for MongoDB Enterprise Advanced. In this critical role, you will be at the heart of ensuring our most sophisticated customers can safeguard their mission-critical, self-hosted MongoDB deployments and maintain business continuity in the face of any challenge.</p> <p>You will champion the needs of enterprise customers for these crucial operations, understanding deeply how they use our current capabilities and, more importantly, how they <em>want</em> to use them. This includes defining the future of disaster recovery for Enterprise Advanced database clusters, and even for Ops Manager itself. A key part of your mission will be to expand our data protection ecosystem, particularly by developing and scaling our 3rd party backup vendor integration program, enabling seamless and certified integrations via Ops Manager (MongoDB's self-hosted management server) APIs.</p> <p>This role requires a deep understanding of Enterprise Advanced, Ops Manager, their backup capabilities and how each interconnects, as well as the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and engage meaningfully with customers across this entire solution space.</p> <p>While primarily focused on Enterprise Advanced disaster recovery, this role includes scope to significantly contribute to the future evolution of MongoDB's self-hosted offering as a whole, both informally and through increased responsibility and ownership.</p> <h3>What You'll Do (Responsibilities):</h3> <ul> <li>Define and champion a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap for backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions for MongoDB Enterprise Advanced, deeply integrated with Ops Manager</li> <li>Lead the development and expansion of our 3rd party backup integration program, reducing the barrier to entry and empowering partners and customers to leverage Ops Manager APIs for robust, certified data protection</li> <li>Drive initiatives to enhance disaster recovery capabilities, including solutions for scenarios where both Ops Manager and database clusters may be compromised</li> <li>Become a subject matter expert on customer needs and market trends in enterprise data protection, backup, recovery, DR for self-hosted database environments, and MongoDB Enterprise Advanced more broadly</li> <li>Collaborate intensely with Backup Engineering, Core Database Product &amp; Engineering, customer-facing field teams (Sales, Technical Support, Customer Success, Professional Services), and Product &amp; Engineering teams focused on Enterprise Advanced and Ops Manager to deliver impactful solutions</li> <li>Translate complex customer requirements and business needs into clear, well-defined product requirements and specifications for backup/restore operations, both through highly automated programmatic management and more manual use</li> <li>Actively engage with customers to build a profound understanding of their current usage patterns, desired future states, and unmet needs in both the disaster recovery and the broader MongoDB Enterprise Advanced space</li> <li>Partner with Product Marketing to effectively position and launch new features and drive adoption</li> <li>Own the success of your product area, defining and monitoring key metrics to ensure business impact and continuously refine the product towards excellence</li> <li>Drive execution diligently, managing trade-offs, anticipating risks, and ensuring clear, consistent communication with all stakeholders</li> </ul> <h3>What You'll Bring (Requirements):</h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of product management or equivalent experience, with a significant focus on complex technical, enterprise-grade software products</li> <li>Proven experience and success in delivering enterprise software products to market, from ideation to launch and iteration</li> <li>Demonstrable experience working with, or deep understanding of, centralized s
