Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Number Management, Genesys Cloud 

Department & Team: Genesys Cloud Platform Applications Team 

Job Summary  

At Genesys we are on a mission to create the category called Experience as a Service. We build products to enable companies to connect with their clients via multiple channels (voice, video, social, etc…), and to provide context during these engagements, making these connections meaningful, fast, and memorable. 

We do this via a SaaS (Software as a Service) product called Genesys-Cloud, which supports 1.3M users making BILLIONs API (application programming interfaces) calls daily, enabling around 2B minutes of phone calls monthly, and hosting 90B interactions yearly.  

To support the growing demand in this space, we are expanding our presence.  
We are looking for a well-rounded UI engineer with Full-Stack ambitions, to join us and help us build the next generation of Number Management experience in our Admin features. 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for: 
 

• Coordinate major development initiatives across the various development organizations of Genesys Cloud 

• Consult with senior members of the various development organizations to assist and ensure appropriate design directions 

• Be the foundation of the Hungarian Genesys Cloud Application Development unit 

• Confidently make design decisions to deliver mission-critical platform features 

• Ensure that the solutions are in alignment with the Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics 

• Working in a “no-ops” model where we own the full Software Delivery Lifecycle 

• Stay current with industry developments and current trends 

• Deliver with security in mind, ensuring our solutions are adhering PCI (Payment Card Industry) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) and GDPR regulatory standards & requirements. 

• Communicating regularly with colleagues and management to define and coordinate deliverables 

• Wear the hat of a true product engineer and take part in the continuous discovery half of the product delivery alongside the continuous delivery. 

You will work in a fast-paced, startup culture, where our environment is one of continuous change, innovation, and experimentation.  
 
You will work on helping us modernize our UI from a more monolithic approach to a Decomposed/Micro Frontend based one. You will work with older technologies that you will port to modern frameworks such as React/Webpack/Tailwind and our own design framework called Spark (https://spark.genesys.com/latest) 
On the backend you will meet with established and innovative technologies built on top of pure AWS concept, written in Java, TypeScript, Python, Golang adding resilient and secure solutions to our micro-service Cloud architecture. 
 
You must demonstrate proficiency in one or more of these technologies and be an expert at writing decomposable UI-s on top of a SAAS Platform designed with an API first mindset. 
 

As a Successful Senior Software Engineer, you will: 
 

• Operate in an autonomous fashion executing against the team’s goals. 

• Work to keep Product Management aligned with technical changes and initiatives in R&D. 

• Work closely and collaboratively with R&D leaders ensuring platform availability and scalability. 

• Have a deep experience in creating and operating engaging UIs with a micro frontend approach 

• Build experience in AWS technologies to build world class UIs and scalable and secure backends
