Researches, designs, proposes, facilitates implementation, and ensures execution of Clinical Services for Meijer Pharmacy. This position partners with the Merchandising teams to coordinate initiatives to ensure continuity of programs. Through a partnership with Marketing, this position supports promotion Clinical Services to the customer.

 

What You'll be Doing:

• Responsible for overall vision of Clinical Services including constant research in the ever-changing role of pharmacists.

• Presents visionary solutions to Retail Operations and Merchandising. 

• Review marketing to ensure the right message is communicated to the customer.

• Collaborates with Merchandising to identify and deploy clinical programs.

• Oversees the Pharmacy Residency program in collaboration with the shared university faculty.

• Design, implement, and evaluate clinical pharmacy programs.

• Teaches and trains the pharmacy community to provide clinical services while maintaining day-to-day pharmacists’ activities including filling prescriptions.

• Manages special projects.

• Analyze business metrics and guide team performance using data-driven insights.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

• University or college degree with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, (pre-2001) or Doctor of Pharmacy degree, (post 2001) required.

• 5 years of experience in clinical programs within retail pharmacy.

• Working knowledge of clinical services including immunization programs, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Diabetes Programs.

• Working knowledge of pharmacy-related systems.

• Computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Working knowledge of operational policies and procedures.

• Project Management skills.

• Understanding of regulatory compliance expectations.

• Ability and willingness to travel daily with some overnight stays.

• Effective communication skills and be a change agent.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
