Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team of talented software engineers. You will be expected to own critical system components, lead high impact initiatives, work closely with product engineering and product management teams, and build the best in class Digital Intelligence products for our customers.

Role and Responsibilities

• You will partner with our distributed cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Machine Learning, Data Science) to conceptualize and develop new features and products in an agile environment.

• You will own end-to-end delivery of software components all the way to production, owning team features and system components.

• You will be building backend services at scale, and producing high-quality results with direct business impact. 

• You will be monitoring and improving existing deployments, ensuring that we are continuously improving our product. You will also own, maintain and continuously improve our release pipeline and processes.

• You will participate in the design and implementation discussions of our backend and client applications. You will often lead such discussions.

• You will participate in the on-call rotation, triaging and resolving production issues and addressing bugs.

• You will be responsible to write and maintain high quality codebases with a high standard for unit, integration and validation tests.

Required Qualifications 

• BS or higher, in Computer Science or related technical field.

• You have 5-7 years of experience in software engineering with strong backend development experience.

• Have experience with these technologies: Java, AWS, SQL/NoSQL, JavaScript, React.

• You have strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, architecture, design patterns, various programming languages, etc.

• You understand engineering best practices and seek to improve engineering standards, tooling and processes.

• You are comfortable driving technical decisions within our Engineering team.

• You have the ability to develop operational knowledge to use any new technology or language as needed for the job.

• You have a customer-first mindset and ability to communicate complex technical concepts with individuals across varying levels and functions of the organization.

• You are comfortable working within agile methodologies in a global, cross-functional, collaborative team environment.

• You are an excellent collaborator and have superb communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with AWS, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, Kubernetes, RDS, Datadog and other cloud technologies.

• Strong experience with SDLC tools and processes, including source control, test automation and build solutions.

• Prior experience working on device intelligence and behavioral products in the fraud and risk space.

• Experience building products that work with native and web based SDKs.

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $160,000 - $195,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors.
