Senior Electrical Engineer

York International Corporation seeks Senior Electrical Engineer at its facility located at 5000 Renaissance Drive, New Freedom, PA 17349.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Conduct electrical analysis and detailed systems electrical chiller design. Work on the electrical performance of air- and water-cooled chillers components and systems, as well as providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally, as well as participate in new projects. Investigate and analyze product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives, and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes, then recommend solutions. Proficient in electrical design and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product. Proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs. Efficiently execute the accurate completion of projects. Continuously increase expertise in all aspects of chiller electrical design, theory, construction, operation, and applications. Select the most suitable electrical components. Use standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in the field. Strive for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment. Work on engineering drawings including electrical schematics, and bills of materials. Follow Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards. No Telecommuting Allowed.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Plus, Four (4) years of experience as a Principal Electrical Engineer, Systems Electrical Engineer, or related occupation in the HVAC industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Crafting industrial products (engineer to order, applied, or ‘made to order’ environments.); (2) Preparing, checking, and coordinating the on-time release of global documentation to support chiller designs; (3) Chiller controls; (4) HVAC Electrical System design, and motor-driven mechanical engineering design and test; (5) Mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) software; and (6) Applying regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes.
