We'll shape the focus of your role together based on your strengths and interests, ensuring you'll find space to influence, grow, and thrive at Norrin.

In this role, you will

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines, integrations, and modern data platforms

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technology choices

  • Implement data models and ensure solution-level data security

  • Drive development best practices, CI/CD, and continuous improvement

  • Share knowledge and support the growth of others through our Data Engineering Guild

What we're looking for

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in data engineering or analytics development

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark

  • Strong experience developing Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric solutions within Azure environments

  • Proven track record building scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions in production (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric)

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and integration architectures

  • Experience with CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure automation (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)

  • Understanding of modern data architecture patterns such as Lakehouse and medallion models

  • Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and development best practices

  • Ability to act independently as a technical expert in client-facing settings

  • Strong consultative mindset and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders

  • Fluent skills in both Finnish and English

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake

  • DBT for managing SQL-based data transformations

  • Azure or Databricks certifications (e.g., DP-600, DP-700, Databricks Data Engineer Associate / Professional)

  • Broader integration development experience to contribute to both data and integration projects

  • Experience with Power BI, Gen AI solutions, or machine learning (MLOps)

  • Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)

  • Familiarity with Azure networking and access management concepts
