Our overall goal is to build &amp; offer simple self-service shared platforms for clients to consume and in turn run their own business applications on.</p><p></p><p>Our Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP) provides a stable and secure big data platform and tools across the enterprise.  This group is now looking to expand our core data enabling capabilities to unleash the value of the Company's data assets to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace. In addition we are advancing our journey to Cloud (GCP).</p><p></p><p>We are using a combination of vendor supported Enterprise Hadoop technologies coupled with Cloud native services and use automation for efficiency and accuracy. Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software and technology</p><p>As a Big Data Senior Engineer (f/m/x), you will work with CIO teams, Group architecture, Support and SDLC team to enable new features on the analytics platform.  You will be responsible for building data solutions in collaboration with architects, product managers  and other key programme stakeholders. Also you will be responsible for build, configure, and manage software on Cloud and/or on-prem for IaaS and PaaS Big Data solutions. Your role will also entail to build, tune and perform operational efficiency (low cost/high automation) on production grade systems.</p><p>-&gt; You love this job but feel you cannot tick 100% of the boxes? Send us your CV anyway!</p><p></p><p></p><p>Your key responsibilities</p><p></p><ul><li><p>Responsible for building data solutions in collaboration with architects , product managers  and other key programme stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Responsible for build, configure, and manage software on Cloud and/or on-prem for IaaS and PaaS Big Data solutions.</p></li><li><p>Responsible to build, tune and perform operational efficiency (low cost/high automation) on production grade systems.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Support the adoption of an agile way of working by working with agile coaches/leads to deliver in a scaled scrum  approach,  actively contributing and delivering on features, stories, tasks and ceremonies</p></li><li><p>Work with the wider community of engineers across the enterprise to increase standards &amp; discipline</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Your skills and experiences</p><p></p><ul><li><p>Experience of the Hadoop ecosystem (preferably with Cloudera) and the technologies that comprise it.</p></li><li><p>Expertise and knowledge in Data Structures and Algorithms, SQL on Hadoop engines (e.g. Hive, Impala, Spark SQL) and OOP languages (like Java, C++, and Python).
