Join our dynamic team in New York as a Business Management and Analysis Executive Director, where you'll lead strategic initiatives and optimize business performance in a fast-paced environment. Leverage your financial expertise and leadership skills to drive impactful decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.

As an Executive Director within our Business Management and Analysis team, you will be based in our New York, NY office and play a crucial role in guiding strategic initiatives and boosting business performance. Your duties will encompass the creation and presentation of financial analyses, carrying out variance analysis, and enhancing reporting procedures. You will work closely with leadership stakeholders to evaluate strategic decisions and ensure they align with business objectives. Additionally, you will collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Finance teams to fulfill analytical requirements. 

For this role, the candidate must be able to physically work in the New York, NY office 5 days a week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Optimize 'bottom line' business performance by driving key initiatives
  • Manage team members with responsibility for analysis of financial performance, including expenses; identify productivity initiatives and drive implementation
  • Partner with the business, Operations and Technology in the definition and implementation of future finance and business process workflows and implementation of related technology and infrastructure projects 
  • Develop, consolidate and present insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis including annual budget, quarterly/monthly forecast variances, and financial modeling i
  • Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and present commentary to senior leadership explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets and support ad hoc special requests
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues
  • Enhance and automate the reporting of metrics that drive advisor compensation, enhance control processes
  • Partner with business stakeholders to assess compensation plan changes and strategic decisions for compensation plans to drive desired behaviors
  • Act as business representative in respective internal/external working groups
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and finance partners across wealth management to meet analytical requirements and timelines

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
  • 10+ years work experience in finance leadership functions in financial services industry
  • Energetic and dynamic in style
  • Demonstrate strong storytelling ability with senior business leaders, particularly with respect to "the bigger picture," having a strong grasp on business strategy and industry/macroeconomic dynamics.
  • Advanced skills in excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions
  • Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
