Join Collins Aerospace as a Project Engineer. We’re looking for someone like you, with project management knowledge, and excellent engineering technical skills, to support Supplier Design Equipment (SDE). If you're a problem solver with a passion for Project Engineering, we want to hear from you!

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What YOU will do:

  • Lead a cross functional team (including suppliers) to develop and revise service limits and repair procedures for F135 Supplier Design Equipment (SDE).
  • Lead a cross functional team (including suppliers) to develop repair procedures for Air & Lube and Fuel Buy components.
  • Hold meetings, maintain a running action item list, and provide weekly status to engineering team and program office.
  • Create presentations together and presenting to the Collins Safety Board
  • Create presentations and supporting Gate Review meetings with the P&W and JPO customer.
  • Manage the suppliers' structural analysis efforts and Collins' review/approval (including Collins Safety Board) of the analyses.
  • Coordinate service limits release in P&W/Joint Program Office (JPO) systems via P&W Engineering Authorization (EA) and Technical Substantiation Documents (TSDs).
  • Revise and release of HSWR and HSIR documents in the Collins System.
  • Create Engineering Authorizing (EA) documents and Technical Substantiation Documents (TSDs)
  • Hold customer Gate Reviews
  • Coordinate approval of the repair procedures via the following groups:
  • Release repair procedure documents in the customer system.
  • Work with suppliers to validate the repair procedures.
  • Process Collins and P&W Engineering Changes and/or new drawing releases

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Teamcenter, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel experience.
  • Experience working across a highly matrixed organization, including team members, suppliers, and customers.
  • Experience leading multifunctional teams.
  • Experience with task detail planning, budget planning and project execution.
  • Continuous Improvement training or experience.
