As Security Manager Italy, you are part of a strong global team of security experts and responsible for the effective management of all security risks of our Italian country organization. The role is the first point of contact for the country + site leadership teams in security related questions and will operationally manage or supervise the management all security issues the affiliate and manufacturing sites are facing. The role is also responsible for the implementation of global security policies and the development of local procedures.

Main responsibilities:

• Winning senior management support and establishment of a security culture in the country organisation by constantly advertising for security best practices and explaining their added value on all levels.   
• Constant monitoring and assessment of potential security risks for the Sanofi affiliate (its employees, assets, operations, information).
• Based on the risk assessment taking appropriate measures to mitigate security risks for Sanofi:
  • Managing a best-in-class physical security system based on corporate guidelines.
  • Putting in place a comprehensive program for information protection and insider risk.
  • Provide end to end security for our products and coordinate investigations in case of theft, diversion or falsification. 
  • Investigating in case of internal and external security incidents, affecting our company.
  • Protecting company events and supporting Sanofi travellers and expats during their stay in Italy.
• Guiding and supporting a network of full time and part time security staff and correspondents, who support the security function in the country organisations and sites of the country organisation. 
• Maintaining an active network with other functions within the company to implement global security programs in your area of responsibility.  
• Developing and giving security trainings for different target groups on all levels of the organisation.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for local law enforcement in instances of security concerns.
• Active contribution and involvement in crisis management teams. 
• The position requires a high flexibility and willingness to travel on a regular basis.

About you

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years in security management or a similar role, preferably in a corporate/industrial environment.
• Soft and technical skills:
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience in physical security systems management, information security program implementation, product security programs, crisis management.    
  • Strong conviction and team spirit to promote a security culture among colleagues.
  • Ability to communicate convincingly on all levels of the company.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a global professional network.
  • Ability to identify risks and effectively report them.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security.
  • Demonstrated traits of rigor, discretion, relational capacity, and proactive approach.
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in security management. Also, a degree in another field in combination with security certifications is possible. 
• Languages: Proficiency in English and Italian.
