Career Level - IC3

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will be working closely with software engineers from the various cloud service teams to build secure services and infrastructure that are fundamentally sound and efficient. Your influence over the design of the full system architecture is critical. You should be familiar with all levels of the software, hardware, and network stack, while having deep knowledge in a few. Intellectual curiosity and an excitement for solving complex problems of complex massive systems are a must. You should value simplicity and usability as well as security and work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment.

A successful candidate will have a combination of the following:

• 3+ years experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of Java and experience with scripting languages such as Python
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
• Strong knowledge of databases, NoSQL, storage and distributed persistence technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
• Virtualization experience would be a huge plus
• BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $142,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
