About the role

AHEAD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft M365 Engineer to join our team. As a Senior M365 Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our clients' Microsoft-based IT infrastructure and services. You will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise, solving complex issues, and driving the success of our clients' IT environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced-level support for Microsoft-based technologies, including but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Server, Exchange Online, Teams, SQL Server, SharePoint, Office 365, Intune, and Azure.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements, assess their IT infrastructure needs, and design and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Architect, implement and maintain solutions that optimize performance, scalability, and security of client environments.
  • Lead and participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of complex server and network-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Perform advanced system maintenance tasks, including patch management, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect client systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Lead and participate in IT projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, assisting in their professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Senior Microsoft Engineer, with a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies and solutions.
  • Expertise in managing and supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Server, Exchange Online, Teams, SQL Server, SharePoint, Office 365, Intune and Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and their implementation in Microsoft environments.
  • Experience in designing and implementing robust security measures for Microsoft-based environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, are highly desirable.
