POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for product line ownership including market research and understanding, business plan development, new product development, and value proposition strategies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Becoming a Subject Matter Expert – Develop and maintain an understanding of the positioner product line
- Support the day to day sales and marketing activities of the Positioner product line(s)
- Support the development of materials designed to motivate sales inquiries
- Communicate with end users, integrators, and Lincoln Electric personnel
- Work with cross-functional teams including engineering and manufacturing
- Under supervision, engage in all phases of new product development from voice of the customer to product launch to supportive Marketing collateral
- Under supervision, work with manufacturing, service, and engineering to improve products and review field-related issues
- Develop product and technology branding; provide strategic recommendations to drive growth of product
- Analyze market to understand brand trends; develop and present segment marketing plans
- Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires
REQUIRED SKILLS
- BS/BA degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field and have 3+ years of relevant experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in Sales or Marketing, preferably with knowledge of Lincoln Electric Automation products
- Ability to grasp technical details
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiar with standard concepts of product development and positioning
- Ability to research the market, analyze customer requirements and formulate plans for development
- Ability to write compelling story that reduces complex technical issues to easily understood features
- Proven ability to effectively lead others, set deadlines, and develop solutions to propel projects forward
- Must possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle a constantly changing set of priorities
- Proficient in MS Office including: PowerPoint, Project, Word and Excel
- Willing to travel approximately 25% of time
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proficient in MS Office including: PowerPoint, Project, Word and Excel
- Experience with Adobe Suite
- Hands on experience with automation positioning equipment
