Join our multidisciplinary team that uses cutting-edge technologies to make a difference for our clients and our communities, both at home and across the globe.</p><p></p><p>Our Actuarial Services team is involved in various different service offerings towards the Belgian and international insurance market and active on a wide range of topics such as BEGAAP, Solvency II, IFRS 17,</p><p>ESG, actuarial audit support to insurance companies, insurance risk management consulting and employee benefits.</p><p></p><p>Our consultants work in close collaboration with our IFRS specialists,</p><p>consultants dedicated to the insurance sector and risk management, tax &amp; legal consultants, as well as with our auditors and Deals consultants.</p><p></p><p><b>Your impact</b></p><p></p><p>● You will help our clients assess the impact and support the implementation of the upcoming IFRS 17 standard</p><p>● You will help develop our insurance department and service offering<br/>● You will support our Audit Department: answering technical questions about BGAAP, IFRS or SII and reviewing the level of technical provisions of Insurance Companies based on the Belgian accounting rules, IFRS and SII<br/>● You will be in charge of insurance projects within our client network<br/>You will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p><p>● Train and lead staff</p><p>● Establish effective working relationships directly with clients</p><p>● Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen</p><p>● Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues</p><p>● Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients</p><p>● Have regular interactions with colleagues in other PwC territories to jointly develop go-to-market solutions, technical positions on IFRS 17 and Solvency II, support insurers in their finance transformation, etc.</p><p></p><p><b>About you</b></p><ul><li><p>A qualified actuary with a minimum of 5 year of relevant experience in non-life related matters</p></li><li><p>Have experience in managing more junior experts and delivering projects</p></li><li><p>Like challenges, solving problems</p></li><li><p>Are eager to learn, client oriented and team player and you like to work in a dynamic and diverse team</p></li><li><p>During this experience (built in the insurance sector and/or in consulting), you have come in contact with some of the following topics:<br/>○ Accounting and reporting under <span>BGAAP/IFRS17/Solvency</span> II<br/>○ Advising clients<br/>○ Reserving, pricing, ALM…<br/>○ Process automation<br/>○ Audit<br/>○ Cyber risk<br/>○ Climate risk modelling<br/><br/>● Fluent in <b>English and in French and/or Dutch.</b><br/>● A born team player with in-depth technical expertise and client-oriented.<br/>● You have a critical mindset.<br/>● Able to communicate complex technical matters in a clear, precise and practical manner to non-specialists.<br/>● IT/programming (R, Python, …) and commercial skills are an asset.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Life at PwC Belgium</b></p><p>Our culture and workplace are something we’re proud of.
