Director, Account Management, InsurTech

The Account Management team plays a key role in building and optimizing our partnerships with leading travel insurance supply partners. As a Director, Account Management, you will be responsible for leading the negotiation, management, and performance of these critical supply partnerships. In this role, you will drive high‐impact projects and complex analyses that support the organization’s mission and contribute to financial performance through significant direct P&L impact. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Lead complex global account relationships, including C-level stakeholder management and cross functional partner teams  

  • Lead complex contract negotiations and contract performance with effective influence; become a resource / coach to other team members on contracting principles to continue raising the bar  

  • Apply data-driven commercial acumen in building strong partnerships; conduct broad analysis (e.g., pros/cons, cost/benefit, risks, resources, timing) to determine viability of alternative tactics and solutions  

  • Drive performance with our supply partners to achieve P&L targets; enable initiatives that drive traveler and business impact within timelines 

  • Monitor key metrics for every supply partner (NPS, attach rate, monetization, claim frequency, paid claim rate, profitability, and more) 

  • Define, develop, and maintain tools/processes to optimize performance (SOPs, SLAs, supplier performance dashboards, etc.) 

  • Coach and lead team to organize transparent and effective business reviews, including weekly supplier calls, MBRs, and steering / executive committee meetings 

  • Uncover new growth opportunities with our supply partners (new products, new experiences, new markets, etc.) 

  • Cultivate relationships and work effectively cross‐functionally across the organization to support, address, and drive broader business initiatives including technical issues and regulatory/compliance concerns 

  • Build deep industry expertise as a subject matter expert and seek out opportunities to grow EG’s reputation within the industry as a thought leader 

Who You Are: 

  • Natural relationships and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of partners with varying backgrounds  

  • Strong problem solver with excellent analytical skills and a bias for using data to drive decision making 

  • Negotiate creatively and can think both strategically, "big picture," and operate in the details  

  • Have the rare mix of intelligence, integrity, verbal agility, and tact, which allows you to rapidly earn the trust of internal and external partners 

  • Consistently deliver results through diverse, complex teams 

  • An excellent communicator and influencer with strong organization / prioritization skills 

  • Comfortable with high pressure situations and ambiguity

  • Have a passion for continuous self-improvement and learning  

  • 10+ years relevant work experience in a travel consumer, insurtech, fintech, or insurance environment, with exposure to account management, supply strategy, and/or management consulting

  • Have flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time  

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $196,000.00 to $274,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
