Job Overview

Responsible for management and oversight of the CMC Greenville, AL Production operations across all shifts.  Administers organization policies by performing the duties required either personally or through subordinate supervisors / employees.

A Day In The Life

• Provides leadership to and is responsible for all aspects of the CMC Greenville Manufacturing personnel, productivity, on-time delivery performance, cost and budgeting / forecast.
• Manages and develops a team with a commitment to process improvements in the areas of safety, quality, cost and delivery performance, utilizing business practices, processes to include 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Drives / coordinates safety initiatives and improvements across all areas of manufacturing and all shifts.
• Ensures the most effective management of all work centers, processes and personnel involved with the manufacture of Connectors.
• Identifies and manages key cost drivers within the manufacturing process and works to continually refine processes to meet business objectives.
• Develops solutions for meeting production plans in support of Company objectives.
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees while maximizing process flexibility through cross training.
• Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.  Eliminates waste and develops cost reductions.

• Manages Production Supervisors, Leads and other direct subordinates across all shifts.
• Responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the manufacturing teams.  
• Directly supervises the Production Team and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, recommendations for hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university in a related field
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role. Preferred Skills:
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and other PC application skills.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
