Human Resources Director – NYP Lower Manhattan Hospital
The Director will drive HR strategies, services and solutions for NYP Lower Manhattan. Provide day-to-day management of the site HR department and team. Support hospital departments, which may include policy clarification, investigation and corrective action guidance, as well as grievance and performance management oversight. Administer and monitor a comprehensive and effective employee and labor relations initiatives that promote a positive employee relations culture and ensure equitable treatment of all Hospital team members. Maintain effective communication with hospital departments, employee and outside agencies to provide timely intervention and guidance pertaining to interpersonal problems or issues affecting productivity, i.e. disciplinary / corrective actions, performance management, grievances, etc. Act as a mediator/negotiator for a wide range of employee issues. Provide tactical advice and counsel to facilitate the resolution of conflict between various parties. Ensure that Hospital complies with Collective Bargaining Agreements. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures Hospital compliance.
This is a full time position, primarily working on-site at our Lower Manhattan campus.
Preferred Criteria
- Two years of previous management and leadership experience
Required Criteria
- Master’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Labor relations experience
- Five to seven years as HR Generalist and/or other HR specialty
- Possesses strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of current Labor and Employment Laws and trends
- Proficient knowledge of Word, Workday and other HRIS software technology

Salary Range:
