BGCSV has grown steadily over the past decade to become the largest expanded learning organization in Santa Clara County, with sites serving youth in Hollister, Gilroy, San Jose, Redwood City, Concord, and Antioch. Our 35 program locations and team of nearly 400 staff serve more than 7,000 youth.
Summary:
The Recruiter will help maintain the recruiting pipeline, which includes screening, scheduling, and interviewing candidates for open positions via our HRIS system Paylocity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the organization's needs.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Quick learner, adept with applicant tracking software and recruitment systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools, with a flair for optimization.
- Education and Experience:
- An associate's degree or at least one year of relevant experience.
- Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable with extended periods of sitting at a desk and engaged in computer work.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
