About the role

Manager, People Operations

This position is remote; however, to be considered, candidates MUST be based in Central, Mountain, or Pacific Timezones only.

This role reports to the Director of People Operations.

As the Manager of People Operations, you'll have the opportunity to shape our company's employee experience, learning and development efforts, talent management processes, and company culture. Your responsibilities will encompass critical aspects of our organization, including talent onboarding, career development, and employee engagement. Additionally, you will play a key role in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and overseeing various HR and People Ops programs.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Employee Experience

Continuously assess and update policies and procedures to enhance our ongoing employee experience.

Collaborate with leadership and management teams to ensure exceptional employee hiring, onboarding, and development experiences.

Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for attracting, nurturing, and retaining top-tier talent across the organization.

Implement talent acquisition strategies in alignment with our organizational goals and values, collaborating closely with recruiters to identify exceptional candidates.

Learning & Development

Lead the creation and execution of innovative learning and development programs that foster continuous company growth.

Oversee onboarding progress and communications across all involved teams.

Ensure new employees are able to achieve ramping goals within their first 6 months.

Support the training and development of new managers.

Collaborate with senior leaders to design and implement dynamic career development pathways.

Culture and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

Serve as a DEI Champion and collaborate closely with the Director to advance DEI initiatives, fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Lead evaluation and data analysis efforts to tell the story of our employees and company culture.

Engage cross-functional teams to implement DEI best practices.

Requirements:

Experience: A minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience, with a diverse background.

Proven track record of effectively managing employee relations, adeptly addressing conflicts, and skillfully resolving complex issues between managers and direct reports. Demonstrated ability to cultivate positive workplace relationships and implement strategies to elevate employee satisfaction and retention.

Project Management: Evidence of developing and executing complex people processes, with the ability to coordinate and influence stakeholders at all levels, utilize data-driven insights to evaluate program effectiveness, and keep programs on budget.

Collaboration: Exceptional collaborative skills, enabling effective teamwork with cross-functional teams and colleagues at all levels, including senior management, to address intricate employee relations matters and drive positive outcomes.

Emotional Intelligence: Possess a high level of emotional intelligence, facilitating the understanding and empathy needed to navigate employee and senior management concerns and perspectives while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Data-Driven Orientation: Approached People Operations with a strong data-driven mindset. Able to develop methods to accurately assess progress towards our goals for talent across the organization.

Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to convey complex issues clearly and concisely. Proficient in active listening and delivering feedback constructively and empathetically.

Conflict Resolution: Strong proficiency in conflict resolution techniques, demonstrating the ability to handle sensitive employee issues, facilitate challenging conversations, and guide constructive resolutions. Experience providing guidance to managers on conflict management. Experience partnering with and advising Management teams on complex employee issues.
